Malaysian architecture style

In this topic , ill be talking about few important old architecture style that is pretty famous in Malaysia .

Mughal architecture style

-can be seen in Malaysian's mosque . It was found during the colonial period ( 1800-1930). The colonial period of the Malaysian history is one of the best example of the influence of various imported type of architecture , the islamic ones.

With the coming go Mughals architecture style , it was influenced by the Persian style . The main characteristic features of Mughal architecture are the bulbous domes, the slender minarets with cupolas at the four corners, large halls, massive vaulted gateways and delicate ornamentation.

The most of significant buildings are palaces , mosque and tombs .

Tudor Style, Neo Gothic

-There's many parts of Malaysia are own under British , when British take over Malaysia , from 1800s to 1950s. Many older building is build under British architectural influence . What makes tyro style interested is , Tudor style buildings can be modified to fit Malaysia's weather and climate . (hot and rainy environment )

The architectural style, which features large exposed wooden beams in half-timbered walls, was the typical model for some of the earliest social club buildings in the country.

Neo Gothic

-Most of the buildings are usually exist in religious buildings build by the colonial powers .

Straits Eclectic Architecture style

- known as " Baba Nyonya " or " Peranakan " , usually this style exist in traditional shophouses in Melaka and Penang , ull-length French windows with a pair of full-length timber shutters, an arched or rectangular transom over the window opening, pilasters of classical orders; and plaster renderings.

This building has an interesting mixture of architectural and cultural inspirations adapted from the Chinese origin, with the local Malay ethnicity and the European influences that colonised the region. The introduction of new non related architectural components into the southern Chinese (eclectic style) style in shophouses in George Town has resulted in the disappearance of this unique style of architecture.(Zwain and Bahauddin, 2017)

This investigation employs a qualitative research approach by documenting evidence and understanding the architectural as well as cultural influences of the southern Chinese eclectic style by studying the Sun Yat Sen Museum as a case study. (Zwain and Bahauddin, 2017)

In conclusion , we are able to see that there's different style exist in the historical buildings . From the research , i do understand that cultures plays an important role in architecture .
