This building is belongs to portuguese , when portuguese conquered malacca . This red building is the oldest dutch building in the east . Besides the old building. the most intresting part of melcca is the old street name "Jonker street" , i love visiting the street , it because you could see those heritage houses , those shops are in the heritage houses. Im interested in the baba nyonya houses , i find them pretty and historical , whenever i step in , it just feel like i was back into the olden days .

The architecture is a straits ecletic style , The style combines Eastern and Western elements which in the early 20th Century introduced ceramic artwork and elaborate plaster renderings.

A typical Peranakan Cina shophouse usually has the first hall , second hall , one or two courtyards or air wells , ancestral hall, bedrooms, bridal chamber and kitchen.

Besides seeing the plaster ornaments , carving and coloured tiles, their houses usually are placed with antique furniture .

Peranakan shophouses can be seen in penang , malacca and few parts of malaysia , im glad that those hsitorical architecture building stays .

Moving on , every culture and beliefs have different kind of architecture style . First let's discuss about malays architecture style . What you know about malays culture ? Their architecture style ?

An early malay house , is very particular about the design of the roof , they can be described as raised on timber stilts and made of material which are taken form the tropical forest , such as timber , bamboo and rattan . Most of the malay houses has a high ptiched roof design , steep roof due to malaysian climate , we do have monsoon rain sometimes .So choosing a steep roof is a great choice. Besides that, porches infront , high ceilings and big opening for ventilation purposes .

We can see that malay architecture are similar to the indonesian bugis architecture style

Due to the climate of malaysian is always hot , becasue Malaysia is located in the central part of the southeast asia , the country is always hot and sunny , all year around with temperature range of 25 degree to 34 degree. The warm climate also effects the style of malay vernacular architecture . Climate plays a big role in architecture.

Next , chinese architecture can be catergorize into two type , which is traditional house and baba nyonya .

Traditional house and terrace house are the most popular residential house in malaysia. Besides that , although there are chinese embracing christian and muslim , most of the chinese are buddhism .

For example , msoque can be found and seen in much places in malaysia , for chinese , temple can be found in certain places .

Malaysian chinese that embrace buddhism , place a shrine in their house . Placing a shrine in the house is one of the malaysian chinese culture .

Most of the chinese architecture style are influenced by the climate , history and religion beliefs .

Historical plays an important role in chinese architecture .

Most of the hindu temple are decoarted by those coloful decorations , ornaments around . What i found intresting about indian culture is they have colorful and beautiful garments , delcious cuisine , unique temple , that was decorated in colours.

To summarise up , what i felt was , having different kind of races , religion and culture made malaysia a gastronomical paradise . We get to see and know more culture , Im proud to know more than three languages. I would say in Malaysia , there are so many heritage hsoitorical places , and im happy that those historical places are still preserve till today .
