What is Nude art ? Nude art is The nude figure is a tradition in Western art, and has been used to express ideals of male and female beauty and other human qualities. It was a central preoccupation of Ancient Greek art, and after a semi-dormant period in the Middle Ages returned to a central position in Western art with the Renaissance.
I know not much of people could accept the nude art , the might think is pretty disturbing . But is not , is a special and beautiful art .The body is flawlessly flawed, and as such represents the true nature of a person immortalized in the painting, sculpture, or a photograph.
Why there's so much nudes art in the olden days compare to the present ?
- Its depends on the era, and I'm not an expert by any means. But in the past people sort of saw the human form as the most complex and interesting thing you could draw. It's so nuanced that it takes an incredible amount of skill to draw it well, so basically everyone tried to show how great they were by drawing naked people.
Over the span of centuries, the nude human figure has been painted, sculptured, photographed, etched, and illustrated, it shocked the public, it was banned, it was a taboo, it was celebrated, criticized, praised, and exhibited, and it has caused many people to feel a whole range of emotions, from anger, to happiness, from excitement to melancholy. The nude figure in art was, and continues to be, one of the most popular forms of expression, and today, in the world of contemporary art, depictions of naked people are everywhere, blurring the line between what is truly artistically valuable, and what is verging on pornography.
Nowadyas there might be some confusion between porn and nudes art , but they are completely different from others

By 1994 many people were familiar with Saville's massive paintings, such as Plan,in which a naked woman is seen from below, her body filling the canvas through a combination of physical bulk and extreme foreshortening. Saville is most often compared to Lucian Freud, with whom she shares a similar and unromantic view of the average female form.

He completed a BFA at the Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh (1984) and an MFA at Yale University (1986). In his paintings of single or coupled figures Currin confronts his own desires and subjectivity, however unsophisticated, as well as a certain view of painting as a medium that in the late 20th century has become inherently kitsch.

As a kid, I kind of thought that art had just stopped in the fifties, and that it turned into hippies doing things naked. In art-history books, it always ends with some guy from the seventies who just has neon lights. Like every other kid, I liked album cover art. I didn’t really like Yes, but I did have this book of all their album covers. I drew girls a lot. I’d do awful fantasy Tolkien stuff. I still have a Middle-earth troll in a boat.
