Andy warhol are famous for the " Campbell's "soup cans artwork .
Campbell's soup cans art work is produced on 1962 , by Andy Warhol . The individual paintings were produced by a printmaking method.
Campbell's soup cans is one of his favourite art piece , He said that "I should have just done the Campbell’s Soups and kept on doing them ... because everybody only does one painting anyway."
The sentence he stated makes me feels that , he's a very special artist , he wants to be special , he doesn't want to be normal , like how other artist works . Because most of the artist only drewmone arts , and did not continue .
What makes Andy Warhol to paint these Campbell's soup cans ?
- The gallery owner and interior designer Muriel Latow presented Warhol with the idea of painting soup cans, when she suggested to him that he should paint objects that people use every day. (It is rumoured that Warhol ate the soup for lunch on a daily basis)
What makes Andy warhol thinks and draw are one of his quotes : "I just paint things I always thought were beautiful, things you use every day and never think about."
Another art which is quite famous till today , is the Mariyln Monroe art .
Why did Andy Warhol paint Marilyn Monroe after her death ? After i research the answer behind the paint . This is what he stated : “…In August ‘62, I started doing silkscreens. I wanted something stronger that gave more of an assembly line effect. With silkscreening you pick a photograph, blow it up, transfer it in glue onto silk, and then roll ink across it so the ink goes through the silk but not through the glue. That way you get the same image, slightly different each time. It was all so simple quick and chancy. I was thrilled with it. When Marilyn Monroe happened to die that month, I got the idea to make screens of her beautiful face - the first Marilyns.”
